Under the direction of the Service Desk & Device Manager, this position’s primary role is to configure and maintain Information Technology (IT) equipment and to provide technical support to users.

- Responds to help-desk tickets and resolves issues related to IT hardware, software, and user access issues. Troubleshoots and escalates complex cases, as needed.
- Installs, configures, and troubleshoots computers, mobile devices, phones, printers, copiers, and peripherals.
- Performs routine maintenance and support, including updates and patches, and the replacement of consumables.
- Provides support and assistance with technical projects related to computer systems, software, and network infrastructure.
- Conducts inventory of IT equipment and supplies, as directed.
- Receives and transports equipment, as assigned.
- Collaborates and assists other members of the IT department to ensure the smooth operation of systems and equipment.
- Provides training and support to IT Technician Assistants.
- Performs all other duties, as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field. A minimum of two years of applicable technical support experience can be substituted for the educational requirement.
- Prior experience with macOS, iOS, ChromeOS and/or Windows operating systems is preferred.
Abilities & Knowledge:
- Possess basic knowledge of network protocols and technologies

Supervision Received:
Reports to the Service Desk & Device Manager.
Supervision Exercised:
No direct supervision, although works with a variety of school employees form all organizational levels and departments.
Job Environment:
Works in office environment and offsite locations. Travels between buildings.

Operates motor vehicle and walk short distances. Ability to operate standard office equipment.

This position has a work year of 260 days, at 8 hours per day.
